Why I love this job
I love helping families discover which is the right experience for each of their children.
My home bunk
My husband and I have 3 children in their 20's. During their HS years they had the opportunity to travel the world, experiencing different cultures, sports, arts, leadership programs, and social service initiatives in Russia, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, South Africa, Canada, and the US. These experiences played a significant role in shaping who they are today. In 2024 I returned to camp for the 100th year reunion. I reunited with camp friends, sang camp songs, and experienced new and past camp activities. It was a powerful reminder of who I am at my core—it brought me back to my essence and reconnected me with the roots that shaped me.
Why I feel camp is a valuable experience
Summer camp is a uniquely valuable experience. It fosters independence and confidence in a supportive environment free from social pressures . It gives children the chance to experience new activities and enjoy nature. It's where face-to-face communication skills are developed and lifelong friendships with peers from different backgrounds are forged.
