Let me introduce myself

I’m Lisa, I currently live in the Fairfield Beach area after raising my children in Westport CT. I am the Camp Expert representing families in Fairfield, Westport, Weston, Greenwich and the surrounding areas.

My first bunk

I spent many wonderful summers at a small camp in PA, and it is where I developed my passion for horses.  I spent most of those summers as a "barn rat" learning everything from cleaning the stables to leading trail rides, competitive jumping and being a leader on the drill team.  This experience opened me up to an entirely new passion and hobby as a kid from New York City.

From camper to camp expert

Before I became a Camp Expert I had a successful career as a recruiter specializing in finance.  The skills I honed throughout my early career matching employees with employers have given me the unique ability to match the child's needs and interests with the perfect camp/program.

Why I love this job

I love helping families find the perfect program for their chid.  Narrowing down the overwhelming amount of information can be a daunting process and it gives me pleasure to lessen that stress for parents.  My favorite part is when I get a phone call during that first summer from the parents thanking me so much for finding that special place where their child is thriving.

Why I feel camp is a valuable experience

Camp is a place where children learn to be independent while creating life-long friendships.  They leave home for the first time and learn that other adults can be trusted to care for them and love them.  They encounter so many new things at camp- close friendships outside of their school, activities they have never been exposed to, and challenges that will hopefully give them confidence and new problem solving skills.
